The European voice of the young generation - a concert that touched the capital
On Wednesday, 9 April, an extraordinary concert took place at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, which was part of the cultural programme of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. Over 200 young musicians from 27 EU countries performed on one stage, presenting Gustav Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 2 in C minor "Resurrection". The performers were members of The European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), the Jerzy Semkow Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra and the Polish National Youth Choir. The entire performance was led by Finnish conductor Susanna Mälkki, and the solo parts were performed by soprano Heidi Stober and mezzo-soprano Małgorzata Walewska. The event was a symbol of European cooperation and unity, in line with the priorities of the Polish Presidency, such as supporting young artists and promoting European culture.
