Patronage of the Presidency

On 1 January 2025, Poland will take over the six-month Presidency of the Council of the EU. Under the Presidency, we will host nearly 400 councils, meetings and conferences with the participation of representatives of 27 Member States. However, the Presidency is not limited to events organised by the central administration. We would like the objectives of our Presidency to be discussed much more widely – at events organised by a diverse group of institutions, including local governments, civil society organisations, entrepreneurs, think tanks, schools, etc. The patronage granted by the Minister for the European Union enables for the organised events to be included in the official calendar of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. In order to be able to clearly embed these initiatives within the framework of the Polish Presidency, we are starting the process of collecting applications for granting the patronage of the Minister for the European Union, Mr Adam Szłapka. Such patronage, and thus the right to use the official logo of the Polish Presidency at an event, will be granted to projects that promote Poland’s presence in the EU, the Polish Presidency, enhance the implementation of its objectives or enrich the cultural programme of the Presidency.

Applications for the patronage of the Polish Presidency can be submitted from 12 November 2024 to the end of March 2025.
