After having announced three collectives of the Main Concert, it is time to present the artist who will inaugurate this year’s European Stadium of Culture – an event that is part of the Presidency’s Finale: European Celebration of Music. On 27 June 2025 in Rzeszów, Zalia will perform on stage – a singer, songwriter and composer whose feisty sensitivity and stage authenticity define the new voice of the young generation in Polish music.

Zalia – authenticity that resonates

Zalia – a singer, songwriter and composer – is an artist who has built a strong position on the Polish music scene in a short time. A graduate of BIMM London in the prestigious Vocal Performance and Songwriting major, she combines musical sensitivity with modern, original sounds.

Although her debut album was released only just in 2022, Zalia has already performed at the most important festivals in Poland – including Open’er Festival, Orange Warsaw Festival or

Męskie Granie – and has participated in special projects such as ‘Babie Lato’ or the ‘Letnie Brzmienia’ tour.

Her songs – sincere, emotional, subtle yet feisty – are appreciated both by critics and the general public. Her single ‘Diament’, released in two versions, remained at the top of Radio Zet’s charts for many weeks, dethroning, among others, sanah, and is going strong on other platforms as well – including Spotify, where the artist is listened to by over half a million users each month.

In 2023, Zalia received a nomination for a Fryderyk in the category of ‘Recording Debut of the Year’ and a year later – for an Amber Nightingale for the song ‘Znowu Sam’. Her work resonates with the young generation while carrying universal emotions and thus reaching a wide audience.

The Opening Concert – the beginning of a musical celebration

The Opening Concert, featuring Zalia, will take place on 27 June 2025 at 8:00 pm in Rzeszów. The event will inaugurate the Main Concert of the European Stadium of Culture – one of five parallel concerts as part of the Presidency’s Finale: European Celebration of Music, which will be held on the same day also in Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk and Bydgoszcz.

The event is open, and the entry is free of charge. We invite everyone to experience this unique musical evening together – the residents of Rzeszów, of the region, of Poland as well as guests from abroad.

East of Culture – a common space for diversity

The festival East of Culture – European Stadium of Culture is one of the largest cultural events in Poland and this part of Europe, organised by the National Centre for Culture Poland, the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Estrada Rzeszowska and the City of Rzeszów.

The festival includes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops and performative activities. The events are interdisciplinary and international, bringing together artists from the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries.
