A European Celebration of Music in Rzeszów – Kazka and Lanberry are the first announced collective
This year’s edition of the East of Culture – European Stadium of Culture will be unique. The festival, which for years has been one of the most important cultural events in Eastern Poland, will be given even greater prominence – the Main Concert, which will take place on 27 June 2025 in Rzeszów, will also be one of the five final concerts of the Cultural Programme of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It is in Rzeszów, at the intersection of cultures, history and modernity, that the artistic voices of the East and the West will meet, carrying the message of solidarity, diversity and community. The concert location will be announced soon – it will be an exceptional space in which the motto ‘Culture is common’ will ring out particularly strong.
Kazka and Lanberry – the first announced collective
The first artistic duo of the Concert of Collectives – a format that is at the heart of the European Stadium of Culture – is Kazka – a phenomenal band from Ukraine – and Lanberry – one of the most charismatic Polish artists of the young generation.
Kazka, a band that broke the language and cultural barriers, is the first Ukrainian performer to hit the TOP 10 on Shazam’s global charts. Moreover, the band has set a record of views on YouTube – the song ‘Płakała’, which made them a symbol of musical expression of the East, has hit over 470 million views. Their electro-folk style and emotional power of communication build bridges between tradition and modernity, between the East and the world. Kazka has performed on the most important stages of Europe and North America, and their music is the voice of a generation that is not afraid to talk about what is important.
Lanberry, on the other hand, is the voice of young Poland – a Renaissance woman of the pop scene – a songwriter, composer, talent show judge and one of the most awarded artists of recent years. Her hits such as ‘Piątek’ or ‘Gotowi na wszystko’ stayed on the AirPlay charts for a long time, and as the author of songs for such artists as Roksana Węgiel or Viki Gabor, she contributed to Poland’s international success at Eurovision Junior. Nominated for Fryderyk Awards, holder of a Diamond Record, an artist whose work is immensely popular on YouTube and Spotify.
East of Culture – a space for creative dialogue
The festival East of Culture – European Stadium of Culture, organised by the National Centre for Culture Poland, the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Estrada Rzeszowska and the City of Rzeszów, is an event that every year becomes a symbolic bridge between the member states of the European Union and the countries of the Eastern Partnership. Its interdisciplinary formula combines music, theatre, visual arts, dance, photography, cinema and public debate, constituting a unique platform for intercultural exchange.
As part of the festival, we will celebrate the Main Concert – consisting of the Opening Concert and the Concert of Collectives – as well as dozens of events taking place in urban space. The streets of Rzeszów will turn into a vibrant cultural centre: from site-specific installations, through exhibitions, workshops, alternative music stage and numerous performative activities.
Culture as a language of the Presidency – solidarity, youth, innovation
The final concerts symbolically embody the main ideas of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which – through culture – tell about solidarity, intergenerational exchange, openness, diversity and cooperation across borders.
The final concerts in Rzeszów, Poznań, Kraków, Bydgoszcz and Gdańsk will be the artistic closure to the Cultural Programme of the Presidency, constituting its spectacular punch line. The focus will be on the young generation of creators, their courage, freshness and voice in matters that resonate in today’s Europe. The European Celebration of Music will become a place where new ideas meet tradition and the future is built on common values.
Free admission – open invitation
The Main Concert as part of the Final of the Presidency, which will take place on 27 June at 8:00 pm, is free of charge. We invite everyone to celebrate together – the residents of Rzeszów, of the region, of Poland as well as foreign guests.
