Praktyk idei, eseista i animator działań międzykulturowych; jest twórcą Fundacji ”Pogranicze” i Ośrodka ”Pogranicze - sztuk, kultur, narodów” w Sejnach; redaktor naczelny pisma ”Krasnogruda” i szef wydawnictwa Pogranicze, w którym redaguje m.in. serie “Meridian” oraz “Sąsiedzi”.

Inicjator programów dialogu międzykulturowego w Europie Środkowej, na Bałkanach, Kaukazie, Azji Środkowej i innych pograniczach świata. Prowadzi Międzynarodową Akademię „Nowa Agora”, programy „Szkoła pogranicza” i „Gra szklanych paciorków” - Laboratoria Praktyk Międzykulturowych. Przewodniczy Europejskiej Sieci Centrów Literatury „HALMA” z siedzibą w Berlinie. Obecnie tworzy Międzynarodowe Centrum Dialogu w Krasnogrudzie, na granicy polsko-litewskiej.

Practitioner of the idea, essayist and organizer of cultural activities; he is the founder of the Borderland Foundation and the Borderland of Arts, Cultures and Nations Centre in Sejny; Editor-in-chief of Krasnogruda, and Head of the Borderland publishing house, in which he edits, inter alia, Meridian and Neighbours series.

Initiator of international dialogue programmes in Central Europe, in the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia and other borderlands. He runs the New Agora International Academy, programmes: “The School of Borderland” and “The Glass Bead Game” – Laboratories of Intercultural Practices. Chairman of HALMA, the European Network of Literary Centres based in Berlin. Presently he is setting up the International Centre for Dialogue in Krasnogruda on the Polish - Lithuanian border.
