Tematem konkursu organizowanego przez Komisję Europejską jest dialog pomiędzy przedstawicielami różnych ras, kultur i religii. Uczestnikami mogą być wszyscy mieszkańcy Europy, bez względu na wiek czy pochodzenie.

Inspiracji do odpowiednich tematów należy poszukiwać na polu edukacji, religii, migracji, nauki, kultury oraz grup mniejszościowych. Wszelkiego rodzaju retusze, montaż fotograficzny, fotoedycja zdjęć czy nawet tworzenie kolażu są dopuszczalne. Konkurs ma znosić granice wyobraźni i rozwinąć kreatywność fotografów. W konkursie zostanie wyłonionych czterech zwycięzców: trzech przez specjalnie powołane jury, które oceniać będzie m.in. sposób interpretacji tematu, oryginalność fotografii oraz uniwersalność przekazu oraz jeden, wybrany przez osoby, oddające głosy na stronie internetowej. Nagrodami w konkursie są: profesjonalny sprzęt fotograficzny oraz wycieczki do stolic europejskich.

Zdjęcia będzie można przesyłać, po wypełnieniu i odesłaniu stosownego formularza rejestracyjnego, do 30 maja 2008 roku, głosowanie za pośrednictwem internetu rozpocznie się 1 czerwca 2008 roku.

The subject of the competition is dialogue between the representatives of different races, cultures and religions. The competition is open to all European residents, regardless of age or origins.

Inspiration for the appropriate themes can be found in the fields of education, religion, migration, science, culture and minority groups. Any forms of retouching, photographic montage, photo editing or even collage are acceptable. The competition is to transcend the limits of imagination and to develop the photographers’ creativity. Four winning entries will be selected in the competition: three of them - by the specially selected jury which will evaluate, among other things, how the subject has been interpreted, the originality of photographs and the universality of the message, and one of them – by people casting their votes on the website. The prizes in the competition are professional photographic equipment and trips to European capitals.

Photographs can be sent, after the relevant registration form is completed and returned, by 30th May 2008; the Internet vote will start on 1st June 2008.
