About the Program
Gaude Polonia Scholarship Program of the Minister of Culture is intended for young creators and translators of Polish literature (age up to 40 years, in exceptional cases up to 45 years) from Belarus and Ukraine, as well as other countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet states. The program aims to build a platform of understanding and good relations through cultural cooperation between Poland and its close neighbours.
Creators representing the following fields are eligible to apply for six-month scholarship in Poland:
- film (including film history and criticism),
- literature (including translation),
- music (including music history and criticism),
- heritage preservation (including art conservation and museology),
- visual arts (including photography and art criticism),
- dance,
- theater (including theater criticism).
The stay in Poland is intended to enable scholarship recipients to explore contemporary Polish culture and to hone their creative skills under the mentorship of renowned artists and institutions in the Poland’s largest and most important cultural centers.
