Konferencja pt. „Dynamika dialogu międzykulturowego na Litwie i w Europie: doświadczenie, praktyka, perspektywy” poświęcona jest refleksji i dyskusji nad dynamiką rozwoju dialogu międzykulturowego w Europie i na Litwie.

Organizatorzy zapraszają do wzięcia udziału w konferencji: twórców i realizatorów polityki kulturalnej, naukowców, autorytety w dziedzinie dialogu, przedstawicieli instytucji kulturalnych i edukacyjnych, przedstawicieli instytucji międzynarodowych, pozarządowych, media.

Uczestnicy konferencji proszeni są o przygotowanie wystąpień nawiązujących do tematów przewodnich konferencji, które prezentować będą doświadczenia z zakresu dialogu oraz będą stanowić punkt wyjścia dla dyskusji na temat społecznych i politycznych wyzwań wywołanych przez narastającą różnorodność kulturową na Litwie i w Europie.

Tematy przewodnie konferencji:

• Koncepcja i miejsce dialogu międzykulturowego w polityce zagranicznej, społecznej, kulturalnej, w edukacji i ekonomi Litwy i Unii Europejskiej
• Rola autorytetów i organizacji pozarządowych w rozwijaniu otwartości, budowaniu społeczeństwa przyjaznego „obcym”
• Międzykulturowa, interdyscyplinarna współpraca różnych dziedzin sztuki i kultury jako skuteczna strategia w procesie dialogu międzykulturowego
• Rola nauki i edukacji w promocji dialogu międzykulturowego w społeczeństwie
• Wzrost mobilności i migracji wiedzy/doświadczenia w Europie – ekonomia dynamiczna i nowe wyzwania
• Rola młodych ludzi w rozwijaniu dialogu międzykulturowego w Europie
• Odpowiedzialność indywidualna i zbiorowa mass mediów i nadawców w zakresie budowania otwartości w stosunku do „obcych” oraz wrażliwości obywatelskiej społeczeństwa.

Conference entitled "Dynamics of intercultural dialogue in Lithuania and in Europe: experience, practice, prospects" devoted to reflection and discussion on the dynamics of development of intercultural dialogue in Europe and in Lithuania.

The organizers invite the following parties to take part in the conference: artists and persons implementing the cultural policy, scientists, authorities in the field of dialogue, representatives of cultural and educational institutions, representatives of international, non-governmental institutions, mass media.

Participants of the conference are requested to prepare statements referring to main themes of the conference, which will present experiences from the sphere of dialogue and will form a starting point for discussing social and political challenges induced by the growing cultural diversity in Lithuania and in Europe.

Main themes of the conference:

• Concept and place of intercultural dialogue in foreign, social, cultural, education and economic policy of Lithuania and the European Union
• The role of authorities and non-governmental organizations in developing openness, building a society friendly to "others"
• Intercultural, interdisciplinary cooperation in different fields of art and culture as an effective strategy in the process of intercultural dialogue
• The role of science and education in intercultural dialogue promotion in society
• Growth in mobility and migration of knowledge/experience in Europe – dynamic economics and new challenges
• The role of young people in developing intercultural dialogue in Europe
• Individual and collective responsibility of the mass media and broadcasters in building openness towards "others" and civil sensitivity of the society.

All persons interested in having a speech during the conference are requested to send an abstract of the speech or a short project description (1 500 - 2 500 characters) along with the speaker's CV (up to 1 500 characters) in Microsoft Word or PDF format to the following address: renata@durys.org before 31st December 2007

Note: a speech of one delegee from Poland is planned on the conference.
