Heroes Orchestra

The Heroes Orchestra is a unique musical initiative connecting lovers of computer games and classical music. The orchestra specialises in performing symphonic arrangements of music from the series of games Heroes of Might and Magic, in particular from the iconic instalment Heroes III.
The Heroes Orchestra’s concerts are extremely atmospheric, allowing fans to move for a moment to the places known from the game. The music is presented live by the symphony orchestra and the choir, which further enhances the epic nature of the compositions. The orchestra itself was created at the initiative of fans and, at the same time, musicians and students of the Chopin University of Music. Over time, it grew into a professional ensemble that won great recognition both in Poland and abroad. The arrangements are carefully prepared to best reflect the mood of Paul Anthony Romero’s original music. The concerts are not only a musical experience, but also a tribute to the iconic game.
The Heroes Orchestra project was launched at the beginning of 2017. In the same year, the Heroes Orchestra organised a private concert for Paul Anthony Romero, the composer of the music for the HOMM series. The maestro was delighted with the idea of the project and the passion and energy of the young musicians. This event inspired the ensemble to perform together with the composer and then to release the CD Heroes Orchestra x Paul Anthony Romero. Since the very beginning, the ensemble has been growing fast, performing in many Polish cities, for example, at the Polcon Fantasy Festival in Toruń, the Animatsuri Festival in Warsaw, the ‘Royal Coronation’ – the Slavic Culture Festival in Gniezno, the Computer Game Music Festival in Łódź or on the occasion of the Finals of the Polish Cup in Heroes of Might and Magic III in Wrocław.
In 2024, the first edition of the Heroes Orchestra Festival took place. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the HOMM3 game, the ensemble organised a series of events and concerts with the participation of the composer Paul Anthony Romero. The event attracted a lot of fans from both Poland and abroad.
The ensemble has gained international acclaim thanks to over 130 music videos, which have had almost 10 million views!
